What is College Town Tours?

College Town Tours offers guided e-bike and walking tours designed for incoming college students and their families to explore the local community surrounding campus. Our tours are led by current students who provide insider knowledge of the best restaurants, hangouts, and landmarks that make each college town special.

Where are you located?

Our first location is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, serving the University of Arkansas community. Additional college town locations will be announced soon.

What types of tours do you offer?

We currently offer three tour options:
- Walking Tour – $25 per person (approx. 1-2 hours)
- E-Bike Tour – $75 per person (approx. 2–3 hours)
All tours include a mix of campus views, local dining stops, and cultural highlights within a 3–5 mile radius of campus.

Do I need prior experience with e-bikes?

Not at all! Our guides provide a quick orientation before every e-bike tour to ensure riders feel comfortable and confident. Helmets and safety instructions are included.

​

Are minors allowed to participate?

Yes. Participants must be 16 years or older operate an E-bike. Participants under 18 are welcome with a signed parental consent form. Parents or guardians are encouraged to join the tour as well.

What should I bring with me?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and your phone or camera for photos. Helmets are provided for all bike tours.

How long are the tours?

Walking tours lasts between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the type of tour and group size. E-Bike tours last between 2.5-3 hours. We build in time for short breaks, food stops, and photo opportunities.

What happens if it rains?

Tours continue in light rain, but we may reschedule or refund in cases of severe weather. Guests will be notified as early as possible if conditions require a change.

How do I book a tour?

You can reserve your spot directly through our website’s 'Book a Tour' page or by contacting us through our Contact Form.

Do you offer group or private tours?

Yes! We offer group rates and custom tour options for families, student organizations, and visiting alumni. Reach out through our contact page to arrange a private or themed group experience.

Are there any safety measures in place?

Absolutely. All riders sign a liability waiver and receive a safety briefing before departure. Helmets are required, and our e-bikes comply with Arkansas Class 1 & Class 2 regulations (max 20 MPH assist).

 

Can parents or family members join the tour?

Of course! Our tours are designed for both students and their families — it’s a great way for parents to get to know the community their student will soon call home.

Do you offer refunds or rescheduling?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund or reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a partial fee.

​

Who leads the tours?

All tours are led by trained  current University of Arkansas students who know the campus and local area firsthand. They share real insights into student life, traditions, and hidden gems around town.
